7/16/07 Monday mornings are the same everywhere...

At least I got to sleep in. I had planned that on the mornings I didn’t have class I would get up early (snort) and do something.. like visit a famous/historical monument/museum or go walking in Regents Park (which I have yet to do) or Hyde Park (again yet to do), but I failed to really thinking about the logistics of things. Like the fact we would be run ragged walking for up to 7 hours a day... and how London is really huge and walking everywhere hurts! Even with comfortable shoes. So this morning with my wonderful plans floating through my head I ignore then and just lay in bed... finally getting up at 11ish because I do have to get to campus before class to pick up my ID along with my packet of school activities... which include a ticket to the Shakespeare Globe tomorrow to watch Love’s Labour Lost (standing room only - my feet weep), and ticket to go see “Wicked” later this month and information on our day trip to Oxford and Stratford this Saturday. Plus I kind of had the idea I’d sit in the park that’s behind the school and eat my lunch while finishing “Mr. Darcy and Me” before class.

I take the bus, I get there a little bit before 130, pick up my stuff and make my way to the park.. then I realized I can’t remember the code to get into the building and I left the information at the flat (darn it) so I head back to the building hoping to see one of my class mates, which I do and decided to take lunch in class and oh yeah, the test. I better go over my notes.

Yeah, my brain not so good... I did bad on the test.. but it’s a practice test and doesn’t count. And now I know how the teacher is going to do things. :) After class I decided to walk home, it’s such a pretty day and my feet don’t hurt too much. Pick up the paper.. oh yeah, another side note.. during the week at every corner (so it seems) and tube/bus stop there are people handing out free LondonLight and The London Paper - you must grab both! Like I said it’s free and you can find out what happened the day before and who was seen doing and where. It’s a fun read and an end of day tradition, but this only happens Monday to Friday.

And that’s how I spent my Monday evening, reading the paper, finishing Mr. Darcy and Me oh and Jeannie emailed me! yeah!

She tried calling several times but I guess it just didn’t get through.. I wonder if she had her phone turned off.. but my phone did not ring at all! And I’m thinking she called my London phone, which is a piece of crap! ugh

But at least she made it to Romania safe and sound. :) Thanks all that matters.

Now tomorrow, History in class on campus (yeah) then off to the National Gallery in the afternoon - can’t wait! It’s at Trafalga Square!
