7/17/07 - Starbucks morning - National Gallery - Trafalga Square - Shakespeare

I love history, I really do. And learning about it the way we have is great but I am so happy, ECSTATIC we are doing it class today... until I realize it’s 5 HOURS of lecture... OH. MY. GOD. He rambles, he losses track and goes on his own tangents. It gets confusing, not to mention that two hours into his lecture I am fighting to stay away... thank God for breaks.. Megan and I book it to the local Starbucks (just on the corner) for some much needed coffee (ice mocha and chocolate muffin for me please). After that I am raring to go (hopefully)

Thank goodness he gives us tons of handouts (and our syllabus, mid term and final test - that’s it! no papers or project! yeah!). He basically goes over what we had explored last week and a lot of geography and the ice age... how London came to be etc. It finally started to make sense and become not so boring the last half hour of class. I’ll just have to go look at the book in the library (he’s not assigning any readings from the book, debating if I’m even going to get it).

Then it’s off to the National Gallery. I’m so excited! The place is beyond amazing! It’s an art history’s student's dream!
